Head Bolt Torque on 1988 40 HP

Replacing head gasket.

I have a 1988 Evinrude 40 HP tiller and have seen reference to 18 to 20 ft. lbs. (216 to 240 in. lbs.) torque on the head bolts.

Does this sound right?

216 to 240 inch pounds is what I was guessing.

I'd use 18 - 20 ft lbs rather than 216 - 240 inch lbs. Sounds more macho (but it's the same thing).
