Sea King help?

I just picked up a 15 hp Sea King for a hundred bucks. The model number is: GG18734C. The serial number is: 36X873230. Can you tell me who made it and what year? How can I get a shop manual for it? How about parts? Do you sell the manual and parts?

Your motor was built by the Gale devision of OMC.
1963 the last year of production.The 15 was in production from 60 to 63 A service manual for the Evenrude Johnson 18 of the same years will serve you well.The 18 has a larger bore but is essentually the same.Fuel mix is 24:1 Keep in mind that the lower main and the piston wrist pin are not ball/needle bearing
so you should probably stick to 24:1

Your motor is a 1963, last year Gale made them. It is a Gale model 15D15P. I have not been able to figure out what the P means.

But I strongly suspect it means it was made in Peterborough Canada

Thank you VERY much, especially about the 24:1 fuel mix. I was about to test run it with a 50:1 mix.
