I own a 2005 9.9 Merc 2 stroke that misfires just above trolling speed . It misfires about every 5 seconds. At idle, or hi speed it runs perfectly. I have played with the idle mixture but it does not seem to matter if its rich or lean. The deposit on the plugs is a perfect light tan color so the high speed mixture must be OK.
Can any of you offer any suggestions as to why the motor is doing this? It doesn't really cause any issues but it's driving me crazy.
