I got my control box back together ok. now it ides really high when I start it so I have to shut it off. it seems that when I go forward and backward and try to come back to idle it fails to go all the way back into idle and starts to rev really high again. sometimes it will slip out of that plastic gear in the control box and get stuck coming back to idle as well. I tried to move the cables around because they were pinched last time I had to fix the coming out of gear problem

Check out the fuse in the big red holder in the motor. Sounds like you have blown that.

Not sure why you have disassembled the switch to get at these wires.

Thanks for the info about the fuse. I didn't disassemble the switch. I had to take off the cover for the remote control box and throttle lever to get to the back of the ignition switch.

Even though I have been there done that type of thing.
disconnecting the battery can avoid alot of trouble.

Tyler.... I've been following this thread but unfortunately your problem is a case that, in my opinion, could be helped only if I or another member were there to help physically..... that is pertaining to the parts being assembled within the control box properly.

Obviously something within that box is not where it should be but we have no way of knowing what. Is there anyone in your area that is knowledgeable in the marine line that could take a look at it?

ok. that's what I figured. I am waiting for a call from a guy that I bought the boat from who works on boats. He already fixed it once before it did the idle thing. Thanks or the help.
