Hi folks. Would the rate of prop slip on a Bravo 3 be any different than on, say, an Alpha I?
Is 15% a good ballpark figure for both?
Thanks,
pjr

Heavy sterndrive cuddy style or runabout, yea, that's not far off.

Re: Sippage for Bravo 3

Right, sorry I should have specified. The boat is a 4200 lbs dry weight 2001 SeaRay 23' bow rider.

More specifically, the motor is a 6.2L Mercruiser and the props are 26" pitch. The boat is going 45 MPH on the GPS when the rev limiter cuts in at 4800 RPM. And there is more gas to give it on the throttle at that point. I assume that the leg has a 2.2:1 ratio.

So would it be reasonable to think that we should try 28" or 30" props? (Although I shudder at the cost)

thanks, pjr

I think I would try my best to find a set of 28's to try...you don't mention the model of prop you're using now...?
