I had that happen once, although instead of a Northern it was a 23" walleye, and I didnt land the musky.

The walleye had some nice bit marks in it though....

Maybe next time the person netting wont try and scoop the musky into the net so that it is hanging out both sides and the belly is the only thing in the net................:%

Gowly, that's one fattt musky. If wasn't for all the markings I would say that's an alligator gar
