I am in the process of removing the lower unit after getting a SELOC manual. I've got all the bolts off the unit and it has dropped 1/4" or so. I have not disconnected and cannot EVEN SEE the shift interlock. The manual says it is under the carburator. Can someone please help me suggestion(s), tool setup etc.

Thanks!!

Follow the thread in the link below and do the same, except for breaking the bolts of course....You need to remove the shift and throttle cables at the motor. Remove the shift pin, push the shift lever in toward the engine (To Port) and rotate it to release the lower unit. Make sure you put a couple of bolts loosely back in the lower unit to support it so it doesn't fall to the ground when you try to remove it...

Rick -- thanks very much. The info isn't in the Seloc Manual, or at least I can't find it !
