I am having trouble finding the correct repair manual for this engine.
1988 Mariner 225 3.0L V6
Info I could find on engine:
225
Ignition ECU
824866 1
PI40810701

112100 - 3040
there is also a barcode with a number 30407

Title to motor says 1988
No repair manual has a mariner from that year over 220hp?
Cowling says 3.0L 225hp Computerized Ignition

If you can post the actual serial number someone will hopefully give the factory manual number.

The serial number should be on the swivel bracket.That is the part of the engine that is located between th 2 transom clamps,which are the brackets that hold the motor to the transom of your boat.
