I have a question regarding Dry weight. From different post and articles I read Crownline is noted to be a heavy boat. On the CL website they list the 200LS at a dry weight of 3400-3600lbs. Does this include the motor? I am guessing it is, considering the 200lb range. Then I go to the FW website and look at a 190Horizon It lists a boat weight of 2610-2650 lbs. and an engine weight of 1180lbs.That would make the Four Winns weigh 3790- 3830 lbs. Is this correct? Does anybody know how performance is affected by lets say 500lbs!

Re: Boat Weight Question

Most anytime you are talking inboard engines, then the weight is included in the figure. 500 Lbs will make a difference in performance due to the shear weight alone being harder to move (Mass). It would depend on the boat design and HP gain as to just how this weight would translate to performance...
