Re: converting short shaft to long shaft
If you find a long shaft lower unit on ebay or something similar it shouldn't be that hard. You might have to get a longer shift shaft as well, Im not familiar with that engine so idk what the shift linkages are. If you can find a bigfoot lower unit or they might be called "pro kicker" for the 9.9 models which are the ones with the high thrust prop that would probably suit your needs.
