I have a 3.5hp sears outboard model # 582-6094. I'm trying to find out who made it for sears and what year it might be. If anyone can help please let me know.

I went back and checked the ID plate and the only #'s are model #582-6094, Serial #65029. Unless the #'s were miss stamped. I'll try the 1970 Clinton. Thanks for the info. Hopefully I can find parts.

Clinton has been out of business for some years.A small engine shop may have left over parts for the power head. or you may find some on eBay.The powerhead is air cooled and the exhaust leg is water cooled.

There is a company called CEPCO (Clinton Engines Co) in Maquoketa Iowa that still has parts and possibly literature. I'll leave it up to you to hunt up the phone number. I hear they will return your call if they feel like it.
