I was told I needed to replace water pump on 1978, 80hp four cylinder mariner. is it difficult to take apart lower unit to do this, I have read manual and seem a little uneasy about doing it myself, is it worth the 400 dollars to pay to have it done for me. and does anyone know where to look to find the serial number for this motor, the only numbers I could locate on bracket that attaches motor to boat is 1440-5824. thanks ahead of time for any help
