86 Mercury 35hp Trim/ Tilt

I have an 1986 35hp Merc with the 2 cylinder trim/ tilt. The pump motor is shot and I am not sure about the pump. The set-up uses 4 hoses, 2 to each cylinder.

Can I adapt this to one of the newer 2 hose pumps and combine hoses since they are easyier to come buy?

I think that you are stuck with the 4 line system, without going to alot of trouble. You can purchase rebuilt motors almost any where for that older prestolite system

New from sierra part number 18-6763 should be available here on iboats or at NAPA
