1986 Merccruiser alpha one 140
Just bought this 4 cyl sterndrive on an 86 16' Blue Water. Owner said it ran cold blooded and had to run 10 min. before using. Took it out yesterday and it powered up. Increased power and it ran for about two minutes and then lost power, sputtered and died. Tried to restart but it would sputter then die. Now it won't start at all. He had put Sta-Bil in the gas I ran for winter storage. Is it a carb or fuel pump or bad gas situation?
