I am trying to identify my Evinrude with no luck so far the plate on the mount is saying it is a 1984 Evinrude but the motor was replaced so I have no ID plate to tell, the guy I bought it from thinks the motor is a 1989 and the only information I have to go on is the plates on the carburetors which is 150 SP EJMX can anyone help me out here.

you have a 84 lower unit. look on the block for a silver disc. should have model and serial number on it. that will give you the power head info.

I can not find this plate on the lower unit the picture is to well defined to show the location.
