"its spinning" as in the prop hub has spun, and it doesn't move the boat?

If so, repair or replace the prop.
Why change the pitch?

Correct prop pitch is determined by wide open throttle (wot) rpm's.
So, what were your wot rpm's before the prop failed?
You want your wot rpm's to be as close to 5400 rpm as possible.

There is some good reading in the FAQ forum, pertaining to props and rpm.
Also, there is a forum for prop questions.
