Hey all. I am new to the forum and maybe you all can help me out. I have a 1981 40 hp 2 cylinder 2 stroke Merc Serial # 5898326. I am trying to locate what I was told was the Throttle Cam Actuator. So far the only plastic moving part that I have found on this motor. The stop screw threads broke off and the 2 boat shops that I have been to told me that they couldn't get it. Couldn't even find one at a marine recycler. So if anyone out there knows a guy that knows a guy or a shop that may have one laying around in the back room that would be great. This my first real boat and the wife is giving me guff for buying something with a few problems. Anyway great forum and thanx for any help you can give.
