Force 125 - What to do after no use?

Looks like I am picking up a boat with a pair of Force 125's. The boat has been sitting in salt water for the last couple of years with no use. It was started occasionally, but not for more than a minute or two.

The powerheads were rebuilt shortly before they were parked. Now they start right up, but they clearly need a good tune up. Any ideas on what else I should replace, rebuild etc on these things before going into regular service?

Thanks

I hope the motors were not down in the water, or corrosion will be bad.

First, check the compression on all 8 cylinders.
Then check spark on all 8 plugs.

Rebuild the carbs, replace thermostats, replace water pumps, replace the gearcase lube, rebuild the fuel pumps, replace the spark plugs. Clean and tighten all electrical connections. Check/replace fuel lines to the tanks.

Thanks! Looks like I'll have a few things to keep my busy.

I do think that it was in the water, but it doesnt look terrible on the outside. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
