have evinrude 150 sport power head is rebuild
compression is 96 to 100 lbs on all cyl mech says it
that it was low comp heads that were used
motor decarbed would thinner head gaskets make
performance better was planning to pull heads
was whanting to know if its werth
the change or if there is such athing and what cyl head
would perform best that will interchange
also was wondering what the sport was for
have no kind of id on motor because numbers are gone
could you ident by motor being sport model by the year the sports were made

What year 150?

Most V6 OMC products test at 95 to 100 PSI.I haven't heard of low compression heads for years.Was the mechanic experienced in outboards? 1991 and up 150's seem to have o-rings,not head gaskets.
