I have a 1990 Yamaha 70 with a bad trim motor. After reading many posts on the trials of changing out these motors, I thought I would try this solution if possible. I have a transom bracket and tilt assembly from a Suzuki DT115. I would like to just switch assemblies by pulling out the tilt tube ans disconnecting the tilt ram. Rough measurements looks like it may work. Anyone ever try this?
