Default Mercury Part numbers and or schematics

I have a mid seventies model 402 mercury 2stroke. I am concerned about the wiring under the coweling, my wiring is in horrible shape and I'm afraid I'll get caught out on the water and not have any way to repair or make it back once the corroded wires break. Does anyone have a good source for the wiring harness, and can someone look in their parts book and send me some pcitures or part numbers for the electrical plug and wires.

Caleb

Thank you very much. Now the other problem, when It running with water coming in from the cups on the water hose, and I had the cowling off, I noticed a small leak above the engine that seemed to be coming from the the top of the cover? It might have been to much pressure on the water hose and it was bypassing somewhere but it was running down into the engine houseing I didnt see any problems but it just seemed odd.

Caleb

I looked at CDI and I found the Harness I need thank you very very much.

Not sure what your calling the top cover but yes city water or a water system with alot of pressure can cause leaks
