Re: Center Console Dual Control
Most newer controls have the ability to be setup for different manufacturers. Johnnyrudes use a 5" throw and most everybody else uses a 6" throw. Most newer controls have two holes to choose from where the eye of the cable anchor. You typically need to use a universal or SAE type cable with the appropriate adapter kits for the control ends and the motor ends. The big sticking point is the electrical wiring. They are all unique between manufacturers. Mercury and Johnnyrude are completely different in both electrical cables and throttle/shift cables. But newer Merc controls can be adapted to Johnnyrude and vice-versa. All aftermarket controls are adaptable for either as far as I know.
