Mariner 50 3cyl Weak spark

I have rebuilt my carbs due to flooding with new needles and seats
But now the engine wont start there is a weak spark when I check with sparkplug removed but it get soaked after a while when trying to start ??
I have removed the cable to the mecury swich with no effect ?

First I would ck the system with a spark gap not a plug as a fowled plug will look like poor spark. Then disconnect the blk/yellow wire from the box along with the mercury switch wire, still weak spark dicconnect the 2 yellow wires at the rectifier (a shorted rectifier will effect the spark) still weak spark ck all ign grounds. If the spark is still weak you will have to ck stator output with a DVA. Remember the plugs on a CD ign. usually are wet at cranking speed and the engine must turn at lest 250 RPM to get good spark

Was the engine running before you replaced the needles and seats?Just flooding,or not running then?

You need to recheck the work you have preformed, plus install a fuel pump kit
