As I have read in other post I have check the stator and the rectifer and the show to be in good condition some times when I start the engine the volt meter show to be working and it may show voltage all the way out to go fishing and sometimes it may quite before I get there. sometimes I can shut it off and start it back up It will show volts sometimes. I have check the battery voltage when its charging above 13 volts. when the meter is not working the battery show 12.45 volts. would like to were to start looking for prolbem. I check inside coulping at the key switch were the pink looking wire had some corrision on it but that didn't fix it.

It sounds like you have a bad connection going to the volt meter. The yellow leads on the rectifier are AC input for the rectifier and one of them, is also used for the tach. A red wire will be your DC output. Volt meters are usually connected to a purple wire that comes from your switch, a good ground, and lights if needed.
