The hub is separated from the outer part of the prop by a rubber packing. The bond between the hub and this rubber lets loose and although it may hold power at low speeds, it begins to slip at higher power settings. Place a mark on the hub of the prop. Place a second mark in-line with the first, on the outer part of the prop. Run the boat until the problem occurs. Check the alignment of the two marks. If they are no longer in-line, the prop needs to be repaired or you need to replace it. If the marks are slill in line, something else is wrong.
