Hello and happy new year to everyone on the forum, I am considering another boat purchase and need engine advice. the boat is a 86 gibson 36 ft houseboat, with 2 454 mercruisers and v drives.. does one absolutely have to be counterroataing?? where is a good place to get a long block swap? thanks in advance

Without the counter rotating engines the biggest problem you will encounter is slow speed monuvering and docking. It would be easier to PUSH a wet noodle thru the eye of a needle. :%
