I have a 50hp evinrude 1986 E50TLCDE.I can't find a head new or used.Any sugestions.I had a piece of the piston let go.i'm hoping I can hone the cyl.But I still need the head.I found a place to get the pistons and rings right here at Iboats.If I can't get the head.I wonder if a machine shop can do something with the head.Thanks for any info.

If the head is merely battered up from debris you should be able to re-use it. Just make sure you remove all bits of metal that may be pounded into the aluminum and smooth off the high spots around the pock marks so you don't have possible hot spots. The pock marks won't hurt anything.
