I use the Redondo Beach Hoist to luanch my boat, if I have the cut-out on my bunk I get a discouted rate.

1. How can I lift my boat high enough off the trailer to safely exchange the bunk boards with new ones?

2. Is any 2X8 wood ok for building these new bunk boards, or is there a speacial wood/material required?

Thanks to any how help.

If you already have them cut out just launch it and put new ones on while its in the water. saves a lot of time and hassle for such a quick task.

Regarding the wood used, most bunks are treated wood and the better ones are cypress for durability. But...
