[colour=blue]I'm looking at purchasing this little 2 cylinder rude.

Comp test and a test run will happen next weekend.

Generally speaking, any known issues to look out for?
Good/bad reputation?

Hey Duna

I'd be looking for where the 3rd cylinder went. 8) They tend to run hot on the middle cylinder. Some rejet them to run a little richer, but I don't know that it's nessesary. Same basic motor as my 91' 70HP rude and it's been a real good motor. Is the VRO still hooked up?

Last year for the two cylinder 60 in that vintage era was 85'.I had a 82' 2 banger 60 that was a decent engine. However ,it didn't idle or troll as smoothe as the three cylinder models.

[colour=blue]The owner told me '2 cyl 1987'. Obviously one of those numbers is incorrect.

I'll contact him and get a model/serial number and nail down the truth.

The main purpose of my boat is for trolling, if it is a 2 cyl, should I reconsider?

Re: '87 60hp rude

Duna...I ran an 84' 50hp for many years on my boat. Idle and low speed quality can be greatly improved on these engines with the addition of Boyesen Reeds....if you want to take the time to add them.

I came by an 89' 50hp and sold off the 84'.....the 89' is a pig compared to the 84'....course I havn't had time to play with it yet either.....maybe this winter.
