Audio Engine Ignition Horn

I was boating this past weekend when the audio engine horn went off intermittently (beep...beep....beep). So I immediately stopped the engine and checked my oil level which I found to be very low. I went back to the dock and added oil, however the beeping noise hasn't gone away when I turn the ignition switch on w/o starting the engine. Anyone has an idea how to stop the beeping noise as everything else looks fine with the engine? Thank you.

Try starting the engine.

It might also help to know what make, year, and model engine we are talking about. And just in case you missed it, the title of this forum is "Boat Topics and Questions (not engine topics)". The forum police will give you a verbal thrashing so I thought I'd beat them to it. d:)
