Yes, I have an 80's boat! It has 5 ashtrays in the cockpit, which were used by the previous owners. These do not come out, and I would like to clean them. I have used a shop Vac to get everything out, but they are stained. I tried a cloth, and I cut myself, and couldn't get down to the bottom. I tried a brush, and it doesn't seem to get the scum off. Any suggestions?

if you don't smoke, maybe you could remove them and replace with cupholders. some of my cupholders, the big ones that hold coozies, just drop into unfinished holes in the dash.
