i have a 1986 larson senza 16 foot bowrider . it is powered by a 1986 140 hp . johnson outboard . wide open it only turns up 4200 rpm . it has a 21 pitch . any ideas what pitch i should be using ? thanks
Before we get into props we should address the issues on the motor in your other post. If all is OK with the motor, a 21 should be OK. Lets make sure the motor is running right first.
Deejay...take another look at the boat, then the engine in question, then look at the RPM....
If it's healthy at all a 21P should run well into the upper range. The 19P would be a band-aid and still top around 4500, maybe 4600...still 1200-1300 shy.
