1988 Mercury 100HP with 2+2

My Mercury motor has something called 2+2, where only 2 cylinders get fuel below ~2000 RPM. Is there an easy way to disable this? Is there a hard way?

there is pretty much no way. The only possible way you could do this is by changing out the bottom carb and replacing it with a top carb from another 2+2, so instead of running on 2 cylinders at low rpms it would run on four all the time. the only problem with this is that this engine wasnt made to do that and on top of that, it would idle very rough.
IMO, if you dont like this engine, sell it and buy a different one.

I have the same EXACT motor... I just got it this year, I tried to get it running right myself , removed carbs and cleaned them, filters, plugs... nothing worked for me, I had to take it to the dealer and they did link & sync, rebuilt the carbs and got it all dialed in... Has ran good since, except for the other day something got stuck in the bottom 2 (secondary) carbs and it was pissing fuel out of the jets at idle (one of the original problems I had) I drained the bowls and revved it a couple times and it worked itself out , this time... Now I have my overheat buzzer going off....
