I need your advise on the following problem.
My motor, a 1995 150-hp Johnson, seems to idle just fine at the dock when I first start it on the water, but for some reason after I leave the no wake zone and after been running it for a while at higher rpm's, lets say anywhere between 1500-to-5200, and once I get to my fishing spot and I bring it back down to run at idle speed, it bogs down and turns off most of the time and when I re-start it, it runs rough, but when ever I take it back up to run it at higher rpm's, he seems to run just perfect.

The motor has a new fuel pump and there isn't any water on the fuel because I already checked on that. The carbs were adjusted or syncronised just recently by a proffesional, but apparently that didn't solve the problem.

But here is the tricky part, this motor seems only to do this when he's been running for a while, because as I mentioned above, when cold, he runs fine at idle. Could this be a problem with the power pack or any other electrical component that once it gets warm or hot it can fail to work properly?, because I have heard in the past that sometimes when an older power pack gets hot, it can cause these sort of problems.

Can anyone please help me troubleshoot this problem to the best of your abilities.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

I doubt its an electrical problem since the motor runs fine at higher RPMs. Do a compression test and what sparkplugs and gap are you running??
