I repalced the ignition key busses i n my QUICKSILVER control boxes and one motor buzzer now starts up the moment the ignition key is turned to 'ON' - the oil reservoir is full and the telltale spouts healthily... yet the buzzer wont shut up!

What is this and what do I do about it?

Sounds like you wired something up wrong, go back and check the wiring schematic.
