Know what engine but where are the boats?

I am looking for a new boat. I want to get an E-Tec 200-250 outboard and am looking for a 19-22 foot deep V open bow family ski boat. Problem is everything in this class is an I/O. Does anyone know why the I/Os dominate this class and does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes this type of boat with an outboard? I know Glastron and some of the other brands make an 18 footer with a 150HP outboard but I would like to get something bigger.......

many of the manufacturers, offer outboard and i/o models. a lot of the dealers want to sell you the i/o as they need more service. also many dealer are tied to certain brands of engine. if you want the e tec, find a dealer that sells them and see what he an get in boats.
