Hey everyone,
1989 Merc V200 Black Max XL O/B
after startup, it idles around 900 rpms. sounds great.
once i give it more throttle in neutral the following occurs.
1000 rpms' still ok.
1100 ok,
1200 knocking begins and is constant.
definitely coming from the engine and not the lower unit.
these observations are when the boat is out of water and on muffs in the driveway.
i have a bad feeling on this one, should i??
