I was snooping under the cover of my 2004 Johnzuki 115HP 4-stroke and noticed a small bit of oil on some wires and plastic parts. It sort of looks like it might be coming from inside the large black plastic box on the forward part of the engine block (see pic). There is a 3 inch hose going in to it from the side (red arrow) and it might be coming out here. I notice the oil where the blue arrow is pointing. :%
This black box looks like an air chamber (maybe an air filter is in there?) although it looked like a pain to get in there. The quantity of oil is not a lot, but I would not expect any oil from a device like this. It definately looks like caramel colored engine oil.
Cause for alarm? I have about a month left on my warranty but the closest place to get warranty service is pretty far to go for a check.
