5.7 Mercruiser Stalls out above 2100 RPM...

...I tried changing the fuel filter but that didn't work. It runs great, but recently experiencing this problem (possibly after a recent fill-up?).

Any thoughts? Perhaps a fuel additive?

Don't know what year you have, but when was the last complete tuneup? Start there. Could be crap in the tank/fuel as well. Dump your fuel filter contents into a glass jar and see whats in the tank if you feel the fuel is contaminated. A lot of posts on this subject that usually boils down to a maintenance item.

Look for water in that fuel filter also. More than one marina has pumped water instead of gas.
