The exception, causing the engine not to run could be:
You've had the flywheel off and didn't torque the flywheel nut to 105 foot pounds.That would cause the flywheel key to shear, effectively throwing the engine out of time.
Or, you may have purchased some water with that gasoline. Check the fuel line and carburetors for water.
