Evinrude 175 Ficht ECU... HELP!

I just bought this boat 2 months ago, it quit running a couple of days ago and the tech tells me I need an ECU for $1,400 part only!!! There has to be someone out there that rebuilds these things. Can anyone offer me any assistance? I would greatly appreciate it.
It's a 1999 Evinrude 175HP Ficht.

those are the bad years
1999-2000

try to find somebody how parts them out

BRP offers rebuilt ECU's along with new ones. Runs about $800.

BRP has rebuilt and new ECU's and those have to be exchanged by an authorized dealer.

contact the folks at www.dfitechnologies.com as they repair FICHT items such as ECU's, injectors, etc. for a lot less money than new items.
