I have just gotten a boat and the motor runs fine, but when it is running there is a pin sized hole in the fule like between the 2 carburetors. I tried taking off the carirator but when I unscrew the bolt there is a float in the way so the bolt cannot come off all the way. The engine is a Searhorse V-4.

Re: Jonhson carburetor remove help

If you tell me the year I could see it in my head, but anyway just take all the nuts lose and losen the ones on the bottom of the carb as far as they will go. Now pull the carb out up to the nut. This will allow the part of the carb that is stopping the nut to pull out allowing you to losen the nut...
