My husband has a 9.5 boat motor with a model # 9R73, He is trying to figure out how to take the motor apart. Can you please help.

The first question is why? Why does he want to take the motor apart? Is he having a particular problem? Describe in as much detail as you can.

Parts manuals are available for your 1973 9.5 at the BRP site. That will help the discussion. You can print the various diagrams and download the parts lists to Excel.
