Default What Is The Max Engine Size

Since I usually don't get answers in the Trophy Forum I'll ask here. I have a 1992 Trophy WA2002 20' and I can't find the spec plate. I need to know the max allowable engine size for the boat. I'm thinking about replacing the blown up 150 Force engine with a 175 Evinrude Salt Water engine but the shop won't install the engine unless the boat is rated for it.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Have you contacted Bayliner? I'm thinking of doing the same thing replacing with different motor.
Try the "Force Repair/Trouble" forum. Those guys are usually good help.
Ask Roscoe.

Oh. I asked a similar question and was told any motor of similar HP and weight would be ok as long as mounting bracket bolt holes line up with holes in transom. If they don't, you can purchase an adapter.

Maybe find info from US Coast Guard. They are the controlling factor with size / weight restrictions. They should have info on all watercraft.
