Not sure if this is right forum or not but I have a Volvo Penta outdrive and would like to add a Happy Troller bracket to slow me down for trolling. Problem is with the exhaust outlet/trim tab on cavitation plate, seems like mounting bracket will have to hang quite a bit off the cavitation plate so exhaust flow isn't restricted. Hard to explain but if anyone has come across this you'll know what I mean. Thinking I may need to make some kind of extension.

How about just controlling your boat in a Different Way.............

Those things you're looking at $uck......Forget it,+ Hammer the Throttle,+ you'll be buying Housings..............

I use a set of Trim Tabs,...... Way Down.........

If I want to get Real Slow,...... I toss out a pair of Trolling Socks,...... Big 1s........

I see where Smart Tabs has come out with a set of "Fisherman's Specials" Trim Tabs,.......
They run Near Vertical to Hold the boat Back..........

No Loss of Boat Control,+ Thrust Patterns this way Either............

What Bondo said.... the latest trend is to use 2 to keep your track more stable. Instead of buying one for the size of your boat, buy 2 for a boat half to two thirds the size. It will still cost about the same as that bracket and safer to use.
