Default 1986 Force Engine problems

I bought a used 1986 Bayliner Trophy Pro Bass boat and I have LOVED it until today. Today it wouldn't start . . . the battery was dead so I bought a new battery and put it in. Still wouldn't start even though it had plenty of power. When we were trying to start it, I noticed LARGE brown bubbles coming from what appeared to be the prop area . . . . I am CLUELESS as to what could be going wrong. We've used it almost every weekend for the two months we've owned it and NEVER had a problem. It wasn't used for two weeks . . . . now this. Totally ruined the weekend. Anyone heard of this brown stuff coming out when trying to crank it? I read all the posts about the greenish blue stuff, milky stuff, etc. This is BROWN and thick looking. I know the oil that we mix with the fuel ISN'T brown or thick . . . so I have no idea what this was, why it was there, what (if anything) it had to do with my engine not starting . . . . THANKS for any comments!!

Beverly, as glen says, post this in the Force/Chrysler repair forum.
