Just wondering, I did a search but came up with nothing
I run @ 4,800 pulling a tuber with two on board and a 13 x 17 prop , she screams great, but I have an idle issue I am working on taking advise from other posts.

4800 sounds about right for a 17 inch prop. Thats just from my experiance im not sure the exact RPM

seems everyone around here recommend spinning these crossflow V4's at 5800rpm if possible. What are the RPM's without a tuber?

About the same actually, maybe I should go to a 15?

do you have a GPS, I'm wondering what your speed is at WOT with the 13x17 prop, should be about 34-35mph @ 4800rpm. If your running faster than 35mph on GPS your tach is probibly off.

If your top rpm's are the same with or without pulling a water toy, somethings wrong. Verify your tach readings before you do anything else. You're 1000 rpm short. That's more than a prop change.
