Hello. Just getting around to putting the cylinder head and exhaust cover back on this motor. Had them off to try and track down why I had low compression in the number 1 cylinder. Stuck ring appears to be the problem

Questions:

Am I applying any type of sealant to the head gasket?
Any sealant to exhaust cover gasket?
Do you normally put sealant on marine engine gaskets?

If so..... type, brand??

Use BRP gasket sealer on both gaskets. You can get this at your dealer.
