Default 20 hp mariner idling waaay too high

I have a mid-80's mariner, 20 hp. Came back from the shop idling very high. I know i should drive it all the way back there and whine about it, but I really ought to know how to do this myself.

So...

1. How do I asjust the idle. I assume there is an idle adjust screw, where is it? PLEASE

2. Can someone confirm the date of the ob. Serial number is OB322418.

3. I, er, may have put too much oil in the gas, would it be responsible for the problem? In any case, I promise to fix that one!

Looks like an 1988. Too much oil in the mix will normally cause the plugs to foul faster and more smoke when running. Should not effect idle speed.

I would call the shop and ask them what they think. The idle speed may need adjustment, but it could be something related to what ever repair they did.

Hope this helps
Mike

Thanks for that info and suggestion. In the meantime, and for this weekend, can anyone point me at where I'll find the idle adjustment screw?
