Does anyone know where I can get a diagram that is not costly for the carb or motor of my 1963 Mercury 60, 6hp. I am having difficulty getting it to run. It wants to fire, but won't keep running. I think I may have some carb issues. It was totally rebuilt several years ago, but has been stored until now. I know I could use some new gaskets, it has a small drip from the carb. I finally got info on the fuel/oil ratio.

You can probably find a Service manual at a public library, Sloans.

You might have luck at the Mastertech website. I bought a 1964 3.9 Merc as a project motor and found old carb views on that site. You might want to take a flashlight and check the reed valves while you have the carb off. I had fuel leaking also and discovered one of the valves was broke off. Valve body pops right off. Reeds cost $2.90 each. Still waiting for delivery. Good luck
